Have you ever wondered what comes after the end of the universe or what organisms make a cell, and beyond that and beyond that...

I think Science is what sets parameters and then operates within those conditions. When one looks beyond those parameters, that one shall seek "GOD".

i have no answer to your question. science has no answer to your question. in my humble opinion no one on earth has "the answer". we just live -- for the time being. and we do not confuse science with the concept and existence of g-d. that much i know. even einstein stated that all this cosmos must have a "maker" -- not exactly in those terms..but somewhat. you sound deep in thinking and philo -- and einstein naturally was. i rest my answer. i know no more.

Science is not a method... its a way of looking at things. Science has one of the most important fundamentals as LOGIC which you are trying to use in your question to oppose science itself.

Keeping paradox aside... infinity is a concept of unkown. when you have no idea to what extent a number, a distance or any value goes you term it as infinite. It is a humble way of accepting the shortcomings of logical or structured way of probing into things. In itself Infinity means that out of comprehenssion or aquired knowledge.

But to state it as the proof of altogather a different concept( in this case GOD) would also be wrong. When you don't want to compare two diferent things with same set of assumptions you can not find parallels between them whenever you want.

Science does not work within parameters but rather tries to find out the nature of things with known values or assumptions. If it would have been that hard and fast no new discoveries, findings otr theories would not have been formulated. Science povides you with a decipherable way of looking at things. And since everything in this universe is connected we progess with every passing second.

God just like science is a concept or notion of certain phenomenon. Science is based upon proven or reccuring facts and events, God is an abstract, tacit knowledge.

Infinty can be explained by both the views and still it will be correct because we are adressing the same isssue of 'unkown.'

We create working definitions that help us to do more than throw up our hands and say "must be GOD."

By the way, the universe is defined as everything there is, and if you can follow the logic of that idea, then you should be able to see that comes after the end of the universe.

Oh, and all organisms make cells, are made by cells, and contain cells.

Dude.

Organisms, planets, stars, and so on are made up of pure energy, vibrating matter. There was nothing and everything before the universe began. Time and space were one, and all life was and is one, the same.
Scientific inquiries into the structure of the universe categorize things, try to rationalize and trap things with words or equations. These are certainly beautiful, but if you really want to go further, and it is beyond your wanting that (i.e. your ego), then look no further than within yourself. The answers to everything lie within.

Science is to prove. The idea of a god is blind faith. Don't be so simple minded to think that the ideas coexist. Life is combined with so many different ways of living. To be honest and be true to everyone is the real way to live. Most people must have the dogma, something they are unaware that must be there even though they can not see it. Others just want to know that whats real is real. Nothing is wrong with having a blind faith, however the wrong in it is trying to make everyone believe as you do. Keep your religion to yourself. It is a private matter!

i'm upset which you disregarded your #3 and #5 so comfortably. you're making a reasoned argument, even in the adventure that your place has some flaws: First, i will settle to your clarification for the beginning up of the universe. Why do you leap directly to a god via fact the only clarification for an unanswered question, for this reason the reason of the "enormous bang"? Why does the reason might desire to be clever and willful? ought to it no longer merely be the consequences of a non-provide up reorganisation of power exploding and imploding after achieving an apex of boost? The absence of an answer for the beginning up right here does no longer necessitate a stopgap clarification, it merely leaves the question open to be responded later as our gadgets and investigative concepts grow to be greater subtle and our expertise grows greater finished. The homes of this universe are based on the layout and shape of the subatomic debris that make it up, and String concept argues that the ability that varieties rely will continually behave in predictable strategies. This propose that the regulations of physics are set, and could be almost if no longer completely same if the universe have been blasted into life randomly frequently. the only distinction may be the corporation of the subject created. And finally for now, it ought to merely tutor my own lack of information interior the subject, yet my expertise of entropy and the 2nd regulation of thermodynamics varies out of your view that power is being "used up" in that that's merely keeps to reorganizing itself by way of collision till a competent stability is performed. stable question.

the biggest limitation of the human brain is that it cannot contemplate infinity and nothing - therefore we use science and mathematics to try and define infinity because we deem it necessary to know. people want what they cant have, it's part of our nature. I also believe the same of God. We cannot fathom "nothing" even when we close our eyes and think of "nothing" we see a black space behind our eyelids, so in a effort to understand what happens after death, we look to God and everlasting life and heaven as a means to provide our brain with some explanation.

not sure about your question,
I beleive strongly in god,
but infinity can be defined, just not measured.
a simple defination of infinity I would give to a child is
start walking that way, and you never stop.
Its more like a journey than a distance.

of course, you can't measure it, cause you would haveto be outside it to measure it.

I always imagined the universe was a giant mobius,
you go out far enough, you are heading back.
I mean, obviously if God stopped creating ( and rested)
then there is a finite amount of things he made....

G'day Beam G,

Thank you for your question.

Infinity has been a popular topic amongst philosophers, scientists and theologians for millenia. Scientists and mathemeticians have looked at the topic from a different viewpoint than theologians as they are interested in finding out about something that can be proven rather than something that relies on faith. Infinity is very useful in maths as it is used in defining integrals, derivatives and other important concepts.

I have attached sources for your reference.

Science doesn't try to define infinity, Mathematics does.
