thats a mnemonic devise for remembering the side ratios for sin, cos, tan. Use it when your given an angle and two of the three sides to find the length of the remaining side in a right triangle

A mnemonic to remember the relationship of the sides and angles of a triangle.

SOH: sine = opposite over hypotenuse
CAH: cosine = Adjacent over hypotenuse
TOA: tangent = opposite over adjacent
