First response is to say education equates to experience in the job world. So what if you don't have any education or experience....next up would be desire.

When a company is interviewing a prospective employee they are looking for the value in comparison to the cost. If you can show in an interview process that you can bring more value to the bottem line of the company that you are interviewing with you have a better chance of getting hired.

Also, don't be afraid to start at the bottem. Entry level positions require less education/experience and can in turn give you the experience that you need.

there are some ways to gain a "track record" that aren't all that appealing, but may land you what you want -
1. Volunteer / Offer to work for free somewhere. It'll get you the experience you need so that you can get paid for your skills.
2. Similarly, take a low paying job that gets you experience.
3. Offer a potential employer a trial period where they can see the value you bring. This will depend on your industry, but can work for some. Basically, you are offering them a low risk chance to see if they might want to hire you.
4. Temp - adds to your resume and makes you money.
5. If there's a company you really like, be willing to start at the bottom to learn the business and work your way up - a foot in the door will get you a track record / recommendations when you apply for the job you really want.

While doing those things, you may also want to do some additional training / school to gain additional marketable skills.
