it's 10 miles from my home to work. luckily both locations are close to the highway so i only take about 20 min to get to work.

The maximum depends on what time of day and how much the job pays. If I'm stuck in bumper to bumper traffic i'll be kinda mad, so i would pass on that. if i can get to work easily with up to a 40 min commute i wouldn't mind. it's just the traffic that kills me.
If it was 6 figures, i'd probably sacrifice an hour commute each way...

Going to work: 27 miles, 1 hour (was 2 hours until I had my schedule changed)
Going home: 33 miles, 1.5 - 2 hours

Max: Well...my current commute is the max.

Now I just walk down to my home office or take my laptop wherever, but when I worked outside of home it took me about 7 minutes. I've commuted up to 40 before, though (in traffic... without traffic it was only 15 minutes!)

I drive about 5 minutes (1 mile) to work.
The absolute max I would drive is 30 minutes. My reason is after work, my mind is pretty tired and distracted by work issues. And driving in rush hour traffic is very stressful.

I drive an hour each way, and its about 40 miles one way, Id probably be willing to drive an hour and a half to work.

I drive 70 miles one way to work...takes about an hour and 20 minutes...longer if there is an accident. Reason? I really like my job and I have an awesome boss. otherwise I would be looking closer to home.

Yup. I'm on my way to lasting a long time with my high school sweetheart. If he and I ever broke up I'd be devastated. He's my life. I love him so much and he's taught me a lot to make me a better person =)

It takes me 1.5 hours to get to work. That is about the maximum I'd be willing to go.

I drive 30 minutes each way, but I've driven as far as 1 hour each way. It was okay when I was single, but now that I'm married, I wouldn't want to drive so much. When we start to have kids, I want to drive even less!
