Any fourth parameter such as color or time associated with each spatial point may be considered an extra dimension to an image. But, our brains cannot visualized a 4 dimensional space all at once (I've tried). The reason for this is that it's just too much information. It requires the entire right half of the brain to perform spatial reasoning (The left half is for symbolic reasoning). A fourth dimension, imaged with the clarity of your computer screen, contains a thousand times as much information. To grok it all at once is just to much. You'd have to imagine a little slice at a time and run through the 4-space like a movie.

pain isnt a dimension. you can think in as many dimensions as you want, do you all only think of a stationary point, or do you think with the fourth dimension time? if you imageon you hit the table time must have elaspsed in you 'dream world' but without getting into a complicated 'dimension debate' i would say yes there are 3 spatial dimensions in both real and dream world.

Yes, becuase we can only think in three, maybe two dimensions. (One is difficult.) Your hand may not hurt when you think of hitting a desk, but it is possible for you to meditate it into being so. If you really thought on it, it would be as though it happened and you would feel it.

Close your eyes. Imagine your computer in front of you, a wall behind that, and trees outside visible through a window. If you can imagine that, you can imagine in 3 dimensions. If you can also imagine those trees swaying in the wind, you can imagine in 4 dimensions.

We think in at least 4 dimensions. Can you visualize yourself making a pencil holder at any time in the future. The object has three physical dimensions, the fourth being the time interval over which it is made, and how long it exists.

Sorry, I'm not too sure about the question. But one thing I know is that sometimes in our dreams (which sometimes occur partly due to our thoughts), we feel things, too. Like if you dream about going on a rollercoaster, you'll feel excited. Or if you dream about meeting a vampire, you'll feel scared. So I guess our imagination is three dimensional =)

i think it is 3D, because you actually feel what you do in your dream maybe, like when i was like 5 or something i had a dream of me needing to urgently going to the toilet and i went and i wet the bed the same night
