I know that in 1978 Mercedes Benz was the first manufacturer to introduce it to cars as an option for the S-class. I would imagine that GM might have put it on the Corvette first in the early 80s or a Cadillac.

I have ABS on my 1989 Chevy, thats pretty early but im not sure its the first year
