Australia in NOT a continent, it is a country. Australia is part of the continent Oceania.
We stopped calling Oceania "Austarlia," because of other nations, such as New Zealand, who are part of the same continent. People may assume that they are a part of Australia, which is not true.
So, we use Oceania now.
