Yes, the year after he came out of retirement (for the first time). He announced his comeback on March 18, 1995, and the next night he played against the Indiana Pacers wearing #45, the number he wore while playing baseball for the Birmingham Barons. The only reason he wore it is because the #23 had been retired in his honor following his first retirement.

Jordan did wear the number 45 in 1995 because his number 23 was retired. He did get his number 23 back the following year. What many people don't know is MJ wore the number 12 in a regular season game against Orlando at Orlando Arena. The story goes his number 23 jersey was lost and the number 12 was the only jersey available. The 1990-91 Hoops basketball card set has a picture of a player(who I can't remember) for Orlando laying the ball in the basket with Jordan underneath looking up with the number 12 jersey.
