you need a burning program. best advice is to download a trial version or go buy nero 7. with these two programs you can select what type of thing you like to burn. there should be one specifically for data and all you do add the data you want to the blank cd

Nero Burning 6.0 is the best software 2 copy data 2 a CD. It support for Create Data CD, VCD, MP3 CD, DVDs. & Its very simple & User friendly.

Using windows Xp also u can make data CDs. Just drag files 2 the CD Writer (RW) , then click 'Write these files 2 CD'.

if u have windows xp, just drag the files onto the drive eg d:(cdrw) etc, and then choose copy files to cd.
