If you ask Eddie (which has been asked) he will tell you "His influence over me will never be matched" Pretty tough words.
Both are great in their age, but Pryor, that man was FUNNY even to a white guy!
If you ever doubt it watch Richard Pryor Live in Concert (his best) and Eddie Murphy's Raw (his best).

Wow, That is a good question. Richard Pryor back in his era was absolutly hysterical. Now with the new era I would have to say that currently that Eddie Murphy is funnier. Good question. :O)

Even though without Pryor Eddie wouldn't stand a chance, I enjoyed Eddie Murphy more. Raw & Delirious are HILLARIOUS!
