Ok so in the space of 3 months I've somehow managed to blow 5 amps (amps as in stereo seperates). I have 2 Technics 1210s plugged in via a Vetax mixer. and 2 sony speakers plugged into the amps. I've tried the decks through a different mixer but still blew an amp. Any idea what the problem could be? Could it be the speakers? I haven't even been playing loud. All the amps have been good quality (Wharfendale, Sony, Techics etc) Any idea what the problem could be?

My guess would be to check the ohmage of the speakers. If there's not enough resistance you can some real damage.

Either you're feeding too much power into the amps causing them to overdrive and blow or the impedance and power rating of your speakers isn't matched to the amp. If you turn your volume up high it blows the drivers in the amps.
