for the exact same reason you prefer men, a natural feeling inside, I'm not a woman but that's the way it is for gay men

I think you are using a stereo type, not all lesbians are attracted to more butch/stud females, some are, some are not. Just like some straight females are often attracted to skinny nerdy men, every one has their own preferences. Often the preferences are not even based on looks but on that inner draw, that feeling you get when you look across the room, and your eyes lock with another persons, your heart beat goes up, your body starts to sweat a little, your stomach does a flip flop, your struggle to eck out a shy smile to the person, and then spend the rest of the night trying to get over to met them.

It is just a chemical reaction.... Do you ever just sit and watch someone who you are attracted too? Watch his or her's hands move, how they talk, smell, eyes and they just down right do it for you? See there is something out there for everyone that just makes people tick....... Thank goodness its different for everyone because then you wouldn't have any partners to go out with...... Women are please-rs PERIOD. If you get two of them in bed together there is a whole Lotta pleasin goin on "if ya know what I mean"
Oh and just because you dress butch doesn't mean you act like a guy, even if you can pick up the cooler by your self and remodel the house and change the oil.... I'm sensitive, nurturing, and passionate and loving.. and 100% woman...

I am a very feminine lesbian and have been with my partner for 2 years. My partner is very much NOT feminine. When I met her I was deeply attracted to her but what's more is that we bonded heart and soul. She is without a doubt my soul mate and the one that I will grow old with. I am in my mid-30's and am old enough to have grown out of the "playing the filed" stage and so is my partner. I have lived the hetero life and I can tell you that there is no comparison to the bond that I have with my parter vs. the life I lead with my ex husband. That was a shallow and meaningless life.

I love women simply because thats what makes me happy and how do i know that......because i feel like who best than a woman to understand what you like and not and not only that but is more understanding and knows what your talkin about and what you really desire. Dont get me wrong i think some men are great and it sucks to see such good men out there treated like they aint **** by some girls but i just dont see my life with a man......making love with a man, is just doesnt turn me on or anything. Im happy and thats all it matters, i think is ok to dress like a boi but when they try to change their personality to fit a man's character or definitely think and believe they are a man then is when is not ok anymore.

I pesonally am not attracted to the more masculine ladies, but I can offer a little insight on the rest. Personally, I love both the anatomy of the female, and the personality... women are more in tune with feelings (in my own experience) and they seem to be more willing to open up to people about their feelings and their emotions than most men are. (I said most, not all, fellas!)

You seem to be assuming, all straight women are lipstick sweet. They cover a wide spectrum of femininity also. Because a man marries a very strong women with some masculine qualities, doesn't mean he wants a man.

OMG it doesn't matter what a person wears on the outside its the inside that counts.People are so hung up on appearance that they miss out on knowing some very interesting people.I am lesbian and I have dated femm and Stud ( that's what they are called in the mid west) girls but to my surprise the Stud girls were more girlie then the femm girls.

That feeling you got when you first saw your first love, the tingling when he touched you, the warmth that filled your body whenever you thought of him. Now, insert she for he and it's that simple. Geez, people make the simplest things so complicated. It's laws of attraction.
You know, it's estiimated that about 15% of the population is gay, it seems that is true for the wild kingdom as well, with 15% of the animals not only attracted to their own sex but distinctly averse to the attention from the opposite sex.
I wonder how the religious right explains that away?
