Hello,

It was a while back, but I had my initial interview (lasted about 45 minutes) following a career fair. At the fair I submitted an application and resume and had a quick 15 minute interview. They called me and around 15 applicants and invited us for dinner and an interview. About a week later I recieved an itinerary and invitation for the second interview. At their expense they flew me from Hawaii to Sugarland, TX for 3.5 days. The first day was a quick tour, check in to the hotel, and get my bearings. The second day was from 0700 - 1700 interviews, tours, workshops and more interviews. That evening all the people that were to continue on to the final day of interviews and possible offers were invited to a fairly nice (all expenses paid) dinner, drinks and dessert.
The 3rd day consisted of (you guessed it) one more 2 hours long multi-person interview. Following all this I stayed one more night (due to the flight schedule) and returned home.

Following the trip you will recieve an expense form to get reimbursed for any expenses you put out of pocket.

I received a FedEx package with a salary and position offer, to include re-locations and housing assistance. I refused due to the amount of the offer, and I was promptly called and asked if a 15% increase in the offer would change my mind. I respectfully refused.

This may be dated, as I interviewed back in early 2005.

Schlumberger has a reputation of high turn-over rates with early on employees who are not ready for the long hours and possibly harsh living and working conditions.
