Is it hard to get in and out? I'm on a birth control now if i change how long will it take for the NuvaRing to be effective? did anyone have a problem with weight gain or mood swings? If it slips out how do you clean it?

Ive been using it for 3 months now. I love it. I dont have to worry about it everyday. It's great. Once you start the NuvaRing you should use a back up form of birth control, such as condoms for 7 days. After that you are good to go. I dont find it hard to get in or out at all. I have never had it slip out either. I haven't had any problems with weight gain or mood swings.

Good luck.

My best friend is on it and she has not had any problems or side effects. I had another friend who was on it and got pregnant because she had "a defective ring." I myself am thinking of changing to it at my next appointment. The best advice I can give you is talk to your doctor and decide if it is right for you.

As for changing it, my Doctor told me that it is always best to wait a month after the change before having sex just to make sure it went into effect.

For me, it was a hassle. You are always wondering if it fell out along the way. I would recommend the pills, but if you still want to try it, go for it. I'm sure you'll be fine.
