ICH TREATMENT
The first approach is medication. It works, but not all the time.
The second approach is to actually destroy the organism with heat, and can be combined with salt treatment, but not with meds. Most strains of Ich cannot reproduce at temperatures above 85ºF. To use this treatment approach, slowly (no more than 1 or 2 degrees per hour) raise the temperature to 86ºF, while maintaining strong continuous surface agitation to oxygenate the water. This is extremely important because water holds less O2 at higher temperatures. (This is why meds should not be used in conjunction with high temp – most Ich treatment products also reduce oxygen levels. Less available oxygen, combined with the respiration difficulties an infected fish is already faced with, could be fatal.)
The adjusted temperature should be maintained for approximately 10 days, or a minimum of 3 days after all signs of the parasite have disappeared. Do not discontinue treatment when the spots go away. This is critical, because we know that they are visible only as a trophont on the body of the host, and not during the reproductive or free-swimming stage. We also know that trophonts on the gills are impossible to see.

First you need to remove any filter cartridges you have in your tank, turn your heat up to 76-78 degrees. Get a bottle of Nox-ich which can be found at pet stores. You will add 1-2 drops per 10 gals. You will do this for 3 days. After you have done the 3 day treatment you will want to do a 50% water change. Then add stress coat which can be found at a pet store. Reduce your heat back down to 72 degrees and replace your filter cartridges. You may end up losing one or two fish that are very bad to begin with.
Ich is a parasite that all fish have it just takes stress or an injury to bring it out such as netting a fish. Once a fish is in a net it will lose its natural slime and is prone to any parasite, bacteria, or infection.

Sorry, but you cannot turn back the clock. You are pregnant and you must deal with that fact. First, take care of your health. Start eating only healthy food and don't drink or do drugs or do anything that can hurt you. Next, if you cannot go to your parents, seek help from another trusted adult or counselor. Do NOT go to pregnancy counseling centers who are going to guilt you. It is time to be mature. What you decide to do with this pregnancy is your decision, which you have to live with. No answer is easy. Many people will try to make the decision for you, but you are the one that has to live with it. And you will live with it for the rest of your life, no matter what you decide. As I see it, you only have a few options: 1) Get an abortion. 2) Keep the baby. 3) Have the baby and put it up for adoption. 4) Have the baby and take it anonymously to the hospital under the Safe Haven law. Which of these options are you willing to live with? What is your personal conscience? Any way you choose, please remember to live healthily, even if you choose option number 1. (You may change your mind, and then, where would you be?) Plus, remember, even if you aren't going to raise the baby but, instead, put it up for adoption, the baby deserves a good start in life. That means eating well, getting good nutrition, no substance abuse, and getting prenatal care. Also, don't listen when people here put you down. I understand that you are scared, but if you think it through you will do what's right for you in the end. Good luck and God bless.

Note that you should never raise the temp until you start an ich treatment. Raising the temp speeds up the life cycle of ich which is import as all meds on effect the free swimming stage of it's life cycle. Raising the temp above 85 is effective, but may kill many types of fish like goldfish. On the other hand fish like betta won't be effected at all. Don't exceed the recommend temp for a fish by more than 5F.

There is meds for this problem sold at any Wal-Mart,or pet store,it's called "ICH",or "ICK". follow directions for the size of tank you have.A tank needs to be set up a few days in advance of placing fish in it in order for the water to age.Probably every fish you have in this tank will get it from the ones that have it and if so,empty your tank and clean it throughly with bleach and water, rinse well, then treat the tank before placing any fish in it.Never buy a fish with spots on it ,as it will infest the entire tank. Also get a heater and set temp to stay at a certain degrees.Think it is suppose to be around 80 to 85 at all times for tropical, and can be cooler for Goldfish.

There are drops of medicine you can use, and also (not many people know about this ) you can use a UV light to kill the bacteria. UV light is the common blacklight. It is good to keep it, since it kill bacteria and algae, makes the water crystal clear, and gives a nice moonlight effect at night and some fish will glow or have nice colours (such as blue guppies)

Go to Walmart and get some medicine for it in the pet dept. You just put some in the water like the directions say. It clears up pretty quick but go get it so your fish don't start dying.

ICH GUARD is a good chemical to add to your water. I recommend doing a partial water change before adding it though. Mine was like 5$ at Petco.
Good luck.
