the bible says it is not good for man to be alone i will make him a helpmate god only gives the gift of celibacy rarely and catholic preists do not have it, god tells us it is best to be married lest we burn with lust if a man is staying single and sex free on his own strengnth then it cannot be done this is why we have child abuse to boys but if it is a gift of god then there is no carnal lust but for a preist not to be married is bad most other pastors are married which is why they can give help on marriage problems and child problems but we must pay attention to the fact that god does not want man single

No I do not, as tempting as it is to say yes. Molestation happens in all ministries so that is perhaps the best reason gone. To answer the other reasons I going to assume you mean Catholic Priests, well there are several reasons why Catholic Priests can't marry. Firstly, correctly carried out priesthood should be a full time vocation (not just a job) and one that requires so much time and commitment that a priest should not have any other time left for the equally full time vocation of marriage, and all the responsibilities that entails. For example If a parishoner was dying and required the last rites and a priests wife was severely ill most including the priest would expect to stay with his wife, this would be the correct thing for a husband to do! However a priest should tend to his parishoners needs and so should def. go hence the conflicts of interest.

I guess that depends on the priest and how dedicated they are. I do think that they should be allowed to marry though. A while back there were quite a few cases of unmarried priests abusing boys. Now I know that this is very much the minority giving the priesthood a bad name but if they were allowed to be married maybe this wouldn't have happened so often?
I don't know - I still believe they should have the choice to be married or not - otherwise it much be a very lonely life at times and a wife can certainly help with the ministry.

I disagree. When a priest is married God is not the only thing they are thinking of and working for. When a priest has a wife and family they are their number one priority. That is not the case with an unmarried priest. A unmarried priest can do Gods work alot easier and with more passion.

Why do they need to be married to know about relationships, does a doctor need to have had a baby before he can advise about childbirth?
Assuming priests assault little boys because they are not married is ridiculous, if they had that perversion they would still do it married or not.

It wont make any difference to being better priest's, they are either good at the job they do or not, and married or not it wont stop them abusing kids if they are that way inclined, so to me it makes no difference at all.

No I do not agree. Protestant clergy have just as much if not more sex abuse complaints and they can be married. The priesthood if offered to God the way it should be is given special graces to handle celibacy. This is something that is connected to the Kingdom of God and Jesus has said "My Kingdom is not of this world". Why do we try to judge his Kingdom by this world's standards. Unlike what is put out by the media all the time --people do not have to have sex every time they turn around. It is quite easily managed.

I think that priests should be allowed to marry because then there might not be so much abuse happening to children.

I completely agree. Nowhere in the Bible is it stated that the leaders of the church are to remain unmarried and abstinent. Men and women are created to compliment one another and we are all given the sexual desires to fulfill one another (within a marriage of course) from God himself. If God had intended the leaders of the church to remain celibate, he would have had made that very clear in the Bible. Instead, he chose a group of people in the Old Testament (the Levites) and they did not procreate through Immaculate Conception.

I don't know if they are better, but they would surely have some more worldly experience, and you always hear of the vicars wife, the one who makes the cakes and organises the vicars social life, so maybe they are better, they'd have more time freed up, they'd probably have a happier home life, and they'd be able to give out more personal advise to their parishioners.
