My mom always swore by the gargling of warm salt water. I hated it as a kid. However, it doesn't have anything that can harm you. Cough drops are fine if they aren't the mentholated kind.

The best thing to do is see how bad it gets. You are close to the end of the pregnancy. That means if your sore throat turns in to something worse, you may be able to take something for it because the baby is already developed. Talk with your OB/Gyn about what medicines you can/cannot take.

You can have all the cough or sore throat lozenges you want. Just can't take any medicine.
Hang in there.
Drink lots of Orange Juice, if you can stomach it. Sometimes it gives you heartburn.

Go see a doctor and get tested for strep. I had tonsillitis when I was around 32 weeks pregnant and was put on antibiotics. Good luck.

I had the same problem, if in is not a virus or bacteria it may be linked to hormones. I gargles salt water or listerine , used throat spray and the vitamin C throat lozenges. It helped.

Gargle the salt water (someone already suggested), but I have sinus/throat problems and my ENT tells me to gargle salt water. Also tea and if it's too bad, call the dr. Best of luck to ya!

Call your OBGYN, I think you can take tylenol safely, however you should get your doctor's permission first. How about a popsicle or a lollypop?

UNFORTUNATELY THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO BUT WHAT I WOULD RECOMMEND IF YOU ARE WORRYING ABOUT GETTING SICK THEN JUST EAT ORANGES AND HAVE TEA WITH A SLICE OF LEMON IN (NO MILK). THAT SHOULD DO THE TRICK, IT DID WHEN I HAD BRONCHITIS AT 38 WEEKS
