I think that everyone needs to be held accountable for their own actions. Domestic Violence has been around longer the Television has. If anything, it is created largely by how the person was brought up. Even in those circumstances, you have a choice. You can choose to continue the cycle, or you can choose to learn a different way.
Drugs and Alcohol abuse also are a large factor in domestic violence.

Domestic violence was around before TV was even invented. It's often an end result of a son following in his father's footsteps. Our greatest role models are the same-sex parent. Statistically, if a man beats his wife, his son will grow up to do the same to his wife. Now into the 21st century society should be more enlightened.

The issue is not that TV creates the violence...it's the fact that by the time you view a violent program -then play a violent video game - then watch a seductive music video glamorizing sex and crime - then watch the Evening News that inform you of the violence that took place today - then work or go to school in an hostile environment ....you begin to think that what you see on TV is not bad but the 'norm'. But my guess is TV is a major contributor.

No ..
HERE'S WHY I don't think it does ..
I think a bad childhood .. does...
SEEING violence in the home as a child...
seeing the parents beat each other... Parents drinking and not teaching kids to cope because they don't have a clue..
I think parents not the television causes this ..
Television does cause kids to ignore you though,..

Only if you're a weak minded mass controlled drone with self esteem issues. *shrug* Then I could see the correlation. It so happens that I just described more than half the population of the US.
