My 1 month old would eat like 10:00 and 10:15 he'll be hungry again. Im scared to overfeed him(is that possible?) I don't want him to get too fat or sick. Should I feed him or jus push a pacifier in his mouth? Please help me as soon as possible.

Are you breastfeeding?
You can't overfeed a breastfed baby.
If you are nursing and you think he is giving you cues to feed, put him to the breast.

My daugher was born 7 pound 13 ounce and the doctor said that if she was feeding 3hrs then it was 66mls and if it was 4hrs 88mls, but she would only drink around 60mls even if it was the 4hrs. All children are different just like adult everyone has different amounts. Shes just gone 9wks old and is having 120-180mls of formula. If breastfeeding then when ever your child is needing as they may not get all they need in the one feed. If your really concerned then speak to your doctor or a mid wife and ask what they think. Good luck

Breastfeeding? Baby should eat every 2-3 hours. Formula feeding? Baby should eat every 4 hours.

During a growth spurt, the baby will be eating a lot more.

Do not start the baby on any solids to "fill him up". 1 month is way too young to start solids.

If you are breast feeding, then maybe there is not enough milk coming down for him, stress can cause this. If you are bottle feeding then maybe you can add one more scoop of formula to the water. These are just suggestions. Go and see your early childhood nurse they are always a good help when in doubt. Hope you and your baby work it out..Good luck

They go through alot of growing spurts at first that I have experienced with my son where I thought all I ever did was feed him. So I just kept feeding him everytime he was hungry. Ask your Dr. for an opinion and that might make you feel better.

Breastfeed 2-3 hours or formula feed every 3-4 hours....

NO PACIFIERS.......
there is NO need for pacifiers EVER......you're just creating a problem you'll have to deal with later....

he's not hungry......a bottle or boob is NOT the solution to every cry!!
remember that.

He's crying because he's communicating.....and there's a different cry for everything.......
and it's ok to let him cry....if he's been fed, changed, cuddled and burped.....and in a safe place....let him cry a little bit....

And sucking is a reflex....that's all they do....so of course they're going to eat everything you put in their mouths....
don't mistaken it for hunger!

Please do not feed your baby solid foods until at least 6 months old!! Their digestive system that is mature enough to handle solids. American and Canadian Pediatric Society recommend that you only feed them breastmilk and/or formula until then. You are putting them at higher risk of allergies when you start them on food too early.
And you don’t need to give them water or juice or anything else until they are one years old. And they recommend giving WATER before Juice and juice should be watered down.

Remember you have to feed this kid for the rest of your life…..so what’s the rush?

Here’s what to feed your child:

Age: Birth to 4 months------------
Feeding behavior
• Rooting reflex helps your baby turn toward a nipple to find nourishment
What to feed
• Breast milk or formula ONLY •
Your baby's digestive tract is still developing, which is why solid food is off limits for now.

From 4-6 months------------
Signs of readiness for solid food
Your baby probably won't do all these things — they're just clues to watch for.
• Can hold head up
• Sits well in highchair
• Makes chewing motions
• Shows significant weight gain (birth weight has doubled)
• Shows interest in food
• Can close mouth around a spoon
• Can move food from front to back of mouth
• Can move tongue back and forth, but is losing tendency to push food out with tongue
• Seems hungry after 8 to 10 feedings of breast milk or 40 oz. of formula in a day
• Is teething
What to feed
• Breast milk or formula, PLUS
• Semi-liquid iron-fortified rice cereal, THEN
• Other grain cereals like oats or barley

And foods to avoid for your baby

He should be getting 3-4oz every 3-4 hours. Babies stomaches cannot hold alot, if you push too much baby will just vomit it back up. Try the passifier if it doesn't work use trail and error.

a baby knows how much he needs to eat. If you are that concerned talk to your doctor, but I think he is fine.
