some people say that black goes w/ brown and some say it doesn't help please?

like at my school this girl was getting picked on because she was wereing brown w/ black they were matching { the girls that were doing the picking} so ya kinda listen to their fashion advice but another time these other{ matching }girls were complementing on this girl outfitt that was brown w/ black so who do i listen to? HELP!!!!!!!

Basically these days setting your own style is... in style. How do you think most fashion designers got started? I did think it strange when I saw it but I actually bought a blouse recently that was black with tan lace trim. Bought some black jeans to go with it and black shoes to match and wow... it did look great. So some designer thought it did work. But as a general rule, no, a basic plain tan or brown would not be considered to go together. As in any rule, there are exceptions of course.... say if it were a print that has some maybe white and black in it or the lace I mentioned also anything that is somewhat or totally sparkly goes, a burnished copper brown or something with silver or gold threading even though it has brown in it. I say... if it works for you wear it, I have worn things that wouldn't look good on someone else but looked darn good on me. Part of wearing things you like is having the ability to carry it.... And don't look for approval from people who actually may have a jealousy issue. Girls are bad about that, that is one reason I look to see how the guys are reacting, I find guys sometimes have better fashion tastes..... Hold that head up, not down, and watch the eyes...but be tasteful... you can be sexy without being out and out slutty.... obtaining a balance of sophistication, casual and sexy can take practice but it is a lot of fun along the way to learn... I use to model but even so I alway had someone, usually other girls, trying to tell me I wasn't beautiful, girls can be wicked.... so use your own jugement and carry on with confidence and if it slips a little never let them see you sweat.....smile and let them think you know something they don't... you'll have the last laugh that way....

certain shades of black and brown do go together well. That girl is being picked on (bullied) for entertainment purposes. Actually is being told in a strange way that she doesn't belong to their clique. I'm sure she doesn't care what they think.

Absolutely it goes together! Unfortunately, some people choose to belittle others just because they dress differently than they do. Be yourself....don't be pressured into something you are not just because others are ridiculing you for it. If you like brown and black together, then wear it!
