I tried to pre-order it at Gamestop but there was a line i guess and they beat me to it. anyway, i really want to pre-order the wii at a store (not by internet). does anybody know any good stores to pre-order it at?

Unfortunately, preorders already took place October 13. They ran out of preorders the same day. What I suggest is prepare to camp out in front of a store like Walmart. It could be worth it.
I was lucky enough to get one that day. I went at 9am and there was already a line.
