I always get what I need to get done, and it always comes out well. Like my grad school assignments. I have a 4.0, but I leave my work till the end. Right now I have 2 hours left to do an assignment that is SOOO easy, but I just won't bother till I have a half hour left.

I will answer this later!
Procrastination happens for many reasons, but one of the most common reason is we don't think the task is fun or important.

I am afflicted with this same issue... I wait until the end (and it took me years to figure this out) to complete assignments and what not because when I have plenty of time I have no motivation- Nothing is driving me. When I'm pressured for time I have motivation and drive... I work better, more efficiently and I remain focused. I too have a 4.0 GPA, I'm an honor student and a Phi Theta Kappa member- I just can't stay focused unless there is something forcing me to. It's how I work and there's nothing wrong with it... besides I know if I need to start at 3 to get a project in to my prof by 5 or if I need to do it the night before... I have common sense and I imagine you do too since you're able to maintain an exemplary grade point average.

I think its built into some of us
I have the same 'problem' too. I always do my work in the last minute.

The thing is, whatever I think about for a long time and chalk out a good plan, I always end up screwing something. But when I do stuff at the last minute, it works out just fine.

Dont worry about it. Its common

As well, I am with you. However, I believe that everything happens in its proper times and for whatever reasons. And when you put something, you can find that sometimes it may not even need to be done. That saves me the energy of doing it. Also, your organization about doing something at the last minute may be above normal or you can just ride on faith that the task is put together well or gets done.

You're a procrastinator......like me! I know a lot of people that are that way, most likely you had someone in your past that you were around a lot that did the same thing. But good news, you work great under pressure in a situations, that's always a plus!

Not the last minute, but I'm also not organized. Honestly if I feel like doing it then I will but if I don't then I'll put it off.

some people, like myself, have an easier time doing things under pressure. i can only function if i have to do something. like in your case, you have two hours to do it but it will only take you a half hour. i would have to do something else before the assignment
