no fish can't cry but they do have emotions. they do get happy when your home and they do get sad when you don't see you for long periods of time. if they get sick they mopp at the bottom of the tank and when they do something good ( like laying eggs) they get very happy and very proud of themselfs. but this usally happens when you're very close to your fish. my fish are my kids so i know how they feel and what makes them sad or happy.

Can Fish Cry

Fish do not have the physical nor the mental ability to cry. They are, however, quite capable of feeling discomfort and pain, so do not attempt to make your fish cry (judging by some of the questions I've read on here, it actually seems like a valid warning).

I don't think so. Fishes don't cry but I cry often. I have proof for that.

no they can't. but they r supposed to be extremely sensitive. ppl who keep fish for pets r amazed at the level of comfort the fishes give to them.

Nope, unlike people they don't have tear glads. Their eyes are made completely different from a humans. Their eyes are made to withstand water, not create it. : )

no tear ducts and probably not the brain capacity to experience emotions in this way.

But did you really want a sensible answer?

It is extremely unlikely that feel the kind of emotions that would make them cry. I would say no.
