Personally, I love Yoko. I've been a Beatles fan all of my life (I've got everything they've ever done, and a ton of vintage Beatles memorabilia). Yoko is really cool. I think I get her because I'm an artist, and I find her work interesting, and really intelligent.
A few years back, my sister wrote Yoko a really nice letter, and over a period of time, Yoko would send her Christmas cards, and other things. That's pretty damn cool.
The common misconception is that "she broke up the Beatles", the truth is, after nearly 10 years together, they were already falling apart. Nothing could keep them together, and it was better off that way. Better they go out on a good note than to continue and make some shitty music.
The other misconception is that she couldn't sing. Yoko was a classically trained musician. She could sing sing, but much like Bob Dylan and Tom Petty, she created a unique style to fit what she wanted to do, what she had to say.
In the end, all that mattered is the John was in love with her.

I don't think many folks like her.
Her artwork is horrible.
She is totally overrated in every way.
