Some of them look like they could be, and I'm sure they are. But it doesn't just stop at Anorexia - Bulimia too, and recently I read an article that said the new thing stars are using to stay thin is horse tranquilizers. Crazy huh? Who knows if it is true, but damn, that's nuts! There's just so much pressure put on them to be and remain 'perfect.'

No I don't think most are . There are way too many chunck ones..Most sucessful actresses are able to afforf help in maintaining their weight, and health.. Drugs are far more prevelent among actresses than anorexie as a danger.
Models (who also may be actresses) are much more likely to have a problem with anorexic.
Most actresses indulge in expensive eating habits, and alcohol, but theior strict routine, and ability to get the best help available allows them to steer clear of eating disorders.
They also are not required to be skiny as many models are. Most actresses couild not find work if they were as skinny as models or especially under anorexic.
Actresses has to look healthy and no amount of make up is going to hide the effects of anorexic or bones with skin stretched so tight it's revoltingly sicking to look at.
There are actresses who end up wiht anorexic conditions, but the number compared to models is really small.
In modeling you are selling clothes. In acting you are selling your body, personality, , looks, ect.

No, that would be sterotyping. I think they do what they have to do to get as close as they can to play what their role requires.
Let me ask you....
Would you change your eating habits...
if someone told you that they would pay you $100,000 (or whatever the amount was) for playing a skinny hoe or fat slob in a movie (or whatever the part requirements were)?
Some people will, some people won't! But lots of celebrities, put their bodies through a lot of stress for the sake of money. Some times the actors/actresses do this so they can spend less money & time in the "make-up" department.
THANK GOD I'M NO CELEBRITIY!

Oh yes, and it is terrible. Not only do they influence young women who see them as role models and emulate them, but they give a negative image of what a woman is supposed to look like to the rest of the world. Rather than rely on acting talent, Hollywood seems to be obsessed with youth and thinness and beauty. It is truly disgusting to me.

i dont think all of them are. coz many actresses take pride in their full n curvy bodies and dont try to starve themselves into looking like zoombies. also i guess the younger actresses are more concerned about looking thin

a lot of them are. a lot of them eat hardly anything. like jennifer aniston said she always skipped one meal a day while on friends or something. their meals will be extremely small. the ones who aren't still eat very very healthy because they have diet planners. basically it's normal to be anorexic in hollywood. i don't think any of the skinny women are eating normal-sized meals.

No, but I do think that a lot of pressure is put on them to lose weight or be at a certain weight.
