Have you seen a ghost/spirit of someone you know who passed away? I heard/read they communicate in dreams.

I live directly across the street from an old jail built more than 100 years ago, now a museum... It's a 3 storey grey stone structure still with bars on the windows, and there have been times when in the middle of the night the amber glow of lights from inside the building casts shadows... The last hanging in the old jail occurred in the 1950's.
As for "contact"? One night some hours before dawn, while sleeping in my loft, i awoke mere moments before a small window came unlatched and blew open with enough force to throw a heavy lamp to the floor. Though the lamp, it's shade and bulb were not damaged at all from the crashing impact with the ground, the shade was dislodged from the "harp" which had been exaggeratedly and uniformly splayed outwards on both sides. No force from my own hands could bend it back to it's original shape. As for the pictures and ornaments all around the lamp on the same window seat, none were disturbed in the least.
A few days later, a large floor screen hinged in three sections had been completely re-arranged and moved, though this too must have happened in the dark of night. And sometimes late at night when I sit here at my computer, objects fall onto the floor at my feet for "no apparent reason". But old houses often have odd shifts and sounds, as if bones are creaking. Cool breezes that make your hair stand on end too, are not unusual in drafty places...

I believe in life after death. But a ghost is an imprint of a departed sould that feels that they must stay on earth for a reason. So every ghost that has been claimed to have been seen is here for a reason. But why?

No, I didn't see a spirit. But, I did have a dream one time about my friend's grandmother who passed away. Her grandmother didn't drive and I went out of my way a few times to take her on erronds when the rest of her family complained about being too busy to help. In my dream, she thanked me and it was so real.

I've never actually seen a ghost or a spirit.
However my brother died about 4 years ago and he left me 2 cane rocking chairs......I have one in each guestroom.
Every so often when I walk by one of the rooms the rocker will gently rock back and forth a few times.
At first it freaked me out....now I just say hello to my brother.

Yes, I have a ghost in my house. Many people have seen it. Sometimes it will move chair or open the cabinet doors. One time my sister-in-law heard it. I could go on and on but I don't want to bore you...

this will probally sound wierd but when my aunt was dying of cancer this was all witin the last few days of her life but i woke up and i could have sworn i saw a man at the end of the bed that resembled my uncle (her brother)i was smelling my grandmothers perfume (her mother) and maybe i did imagine them but this i def didnt the last thing was when i got out of the
shower the mirrors were all steamed up except for one big line it looked like someone wiped at it with thier hands noone else was home with me so it freaked me out right after my aunt died it all went away never saw anything again

We my wife and i and kids have two spirts in are home.the home was built in 1913.They are a little girl who at times we think is waiting for my wife to arrive home from work.She has seen the little girl.And the other is one of a older man who keeps a eye on are house and us.

No, but my cousin had. She was moping the floor, was alone in her house and when she come back to the room she found steps... and sometimes you can hear voices even though everyone is quite. They told my aunt that one men was murder there when she bought the house but that didnt matter to her...

My grandmother calls out to me.
I haven't seen her as a spirit or anything.
I've received messages from others.
And I have seen spirits in my house & in other places.
The ones I've seen didn't say anything to me. ??????/
