I recently asked a question regarding the fact that Bush dodged the Vietnam draft.
Some people responded by accusing Clinton of having done the same thing.
I thought he was at college or university.
Is there any truth in this accusation?

Clinton had some connections, I think a judge, who helped him avoid it legally. Wikipedia has more on it. I got sick of hearing about it 15 years ago. It's no longer relevant because Clinton is no longer president. Part of the reason his status was so scrutinized was because the embarassment of Dan Quayle joining the national guard in order to avoid service. Republicans saw it as pay back just like the Clinton impeachment was payback for the Nixon impeachment vote (that's according to Henry Hyde, R).

So what if Bush enlisted in the Air National Guard. You didn't have to be anyone special to choose your poison. My dad enlisted in the Navy so he didn't have to go into the Marines - BIG DEAL. He still went to Vietnam for two tours.

YES, Clinton actively avoided any military service at all. Go to the following link for an actual letter he wrote in 1969 that explains how he went about it:

technically no, Clinton wrote letters to the draft board explaining his objections to the war, that with his deferments kept him out, Bush used the national guard to hide in as many rich kids did at the time. neither was drafted so neither is technically a draft dodger as Cassius Clay (Ali) was Clinton had a Rhodes scholarship, that's how he traveled across Europe.

I love the Russia answers when today more Republican business people travel to communist China and try to bring their labor habits back with them and help communist China`s economy grow and what do we middle class Americans get, higher gas prices because Republicans have caused China`s demand for oil to rise due to all the outsourcing.

Clinton is an elitist who has never done a hard days work in his life. Of course he dodged the draft. The Dems don't want the truth, they want to call it a college deferment. lol

Well, I think the real question should be, did Clinton ever start a war with any sovereign country based on falsified intelligence?

Clinton used the college deferment. He was over in Moscow setting up his career with his future leaders.
