press F8 or whatever to go into the menu during boot process to choose to boot into safe mode. You always login as administrator when you are in safe mode. From there go to user accounts and change the settings there. Create a new account and give administrative rights to it so it functions as an administrator. Anyway i do not think admin account is deleted without knowing the admin password.

Hi. Few other things to try. Login as guest with the password as 'admin' or 'system'. Sometimes works. Also try 'Safe' mode (press F8 repeatedly during boot). Then use the guest to create an account. Lastly, don't lend your un-backed up laptop the anyone. (Sorry, had to add that.)

Try going into Safe mode (press F8 during the boot cycle) once the PC loads into Safe mode, a box will pop up with a Yes or No button, select NO, and The system restore utility should pop up, from there you can try restoring your system to before your user account was deleted. (This will only work if System Restore was enabled to begin with (which it is by default, so unless you disabled system restore, this should work)). Hope this helps! Good Luck

That has happened to me before, the easiest thing you can do is create a new account and then tell the main Admin on the site and they are usually able to give you the password...I understand what you are going through, I absolutly flipped when it happened to me. Thats all you can do if going into safe mode and all the programs do not work.

Admin account can not be deleted on xp if it is only one Admin account.
do this:
when it ask for login in xp write there
administrator (login user) and give the pass it is saved.
(if this dont work) do this
restart your pc press F8 for SafeMode
select last good confi. settings or go with safe mode option

HII,,

If you have done all yours R&D's then try to log on at www.petri.co.il/forgot_administrator_password.htm for further details and find most of the answers.

Besides, do not format or reinstall your Windows Xp OS otherwise you will lose all yours desktops settings.

Well this might help you a lot. Try and succeed in your life.

You can't delete the real administrator account. You might try it in safe mode and see if you can log on to it that way. If not here is how to reset that password without any software, you just need your Windows disk.

If you got the laptop I hope it came with the software disks for what's on it. Reinstall windows fresh and set up your own stuff (including admin password). If you're worried about your data, take the computer to a tech shop where they can take out the hard drive, pull whatever you want off it, reinstall windows fresh, then put your stuff back on.

You can not delete the admin account, it is there, when you log on as guest can you access control panel, user accounts, what does it show.. ? it should show an account with admin rights.
