I heard about the death on the radio this morning. I did not hear the name of the actor. All I heard was that he was the smallest actor in the world and that he had died today. I am assuming that it is a man and not a child.

Nelson de la Rosa. He gained notoriety for not only playing opposite Marlon Brando in "The Island of Dr. Moreau" (a film that inspired characters in "Austin Powers" and "South Park"), but also for his great friendship with baseball pitcher Pedro Martinez. de la Rosa was considered by many on the Red Sox and those of us in the Red Sox Nation to be a sort of good luck charm during our 2004 championship season. He is missed.
