i recently have gotten serious with running and biking and i'd like to know if there's a suitable shoe that can handle both activities. i run and bike mostly at the gym but later this year i will be doing them out on the open road. any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. thanks! :)

Hey Cycler, congrats on the switch, but the problem here is that i think when you said you are doing them on the open road, you cant mean that you are riding a road bike, cause a road biker would mostly have those clip-on pedals, those pedals actually make you go faster and easier to pedal cause of the pedals that would attach your shoe to the pedal, so you can't have one shoe for running and cycling.

but for running, do look around for the shoe at running specialty store, one of my clients just recently purchased a Adidas Isogon shoe (only for indoor gym use) cause its PINK and she loves it, she also got a New Balance for out door running, and she is loving that too. these are a few brands that i suggest according to my preferences and experience

1) Asics
2) New Balance
3) Mizuna
4) Avia
5) Brooks
6) Adidas
7) Nike

hope you have a great time outside ! Cheers
