I guess it is in the eye of the beholder. If confidence is intimidating to that person, they will perceive everyone with confidence as intimidating.

Maybe this person was trying to flatter, as it implies some degree of "power" (even if just power of personality) over others, and the person measures things in that manner.

I think that confidence is how you carry yourself (do you keep your word? Can one trust you?, are you dependable?, Do you truly show you care?, Dependable?)

Intimidating is how one TREATS another. Also, some people with low self esteem may interpret someone else as intimidating...so, sometimes, it may fall on the observer.

i think that sometimes confidence CAN be intimidating. i don't think it's a bad thing, i think it's a thing to be admired, and i feel that anyone being intimidated by confidence sees that in an unconscious way. i hope that made sense...lol

that guy was just trying to get laid...she is fine and tell her that most guys are really appreciative of seeing a woman who is out having a good time and just enjoying herself!
