That's because movies today aren't made with the same standards as the old movies. There isn't a whole lot of thought that goes into them. You can watch 6 movies and most of them will have the same basic plot and line concept. Actors and actresses are paid too much also. They don't become their characters any more. You can't find good quality acting like you used to. I mean really, how much effort really went into making 3 "Saw" movies or a dozen "Friday the 13th" or any of those multiple movies. Thank goodness the classics are on DVD and there's channels like TCM. Good entertainment is still available to us.

Films are a waste of time....you don't learning anything, only from documentary stuff, such as The Day After Tomorrow. I my self and I know a lot of others don't watch films.....thats right, not at all. Probably once or twice I might watch a kiddies film with my little nephews or Spiderman or something. Other than that I don't watch. I can't remember the last time I watched a proper film.
I stopped going cinemas more than a year ago...mmmm yea...
And generally most films nowadays are boring and lame.... full with love stories and what not....I think....don't you?

I am totally with you... Probably is because of seeing so many movies... you find them predictable and boring...
Sometimes I dont even bother to watch a movie when I see the trailer or actors I know what kind of movie its going to be... or maybe I'll go just as entertainment .. if you go with that mentality you'll probably spend a good time...
In the last years only a few movies I've liked (mostly foreign): Old Boy, Lady Vengeance, Kill Bill Vol.1, Sin City, Crank (funny- some details in editing), Science of Sleep, etc..
WE NEED MORE GOOD MOVIES!! Where's the creativity?? US is copying all the asian movies.. nothing is new...

Are you watching your films at home, or at the cinema? If at home, then try making an evening of going to the cinema with some friends. The big screen is always a better place to watch films, as you get the reaction of the audience as well.

It could be because you've watched too many and have gotten bored of it. I go threw phases of not wanting to watch films too. Or maybe you are watching genres of films that don't interest you as much anymore. Try and explore a new genre for example world cinema or anime.

I love films, but even I go through periods where it seems I've seen it all - every plot, every word, every gesture, every camera angle. What is lacking, I believe, is a Real Life! Every now and then, I have to remind myself that I am, indeed, part of a community and that I need to go out and mix it up with my fellow bipeds..... Perhaps that is your problem as well?

Same here. When possible I've started watching foreign language movies, now I'm hooked. Most of them are terrific, especially the oriental horror/thriller flicks.

Im young {15} but i do watch older movies.. I kinda like newer movies but the so called "scary" movies aren ot scary..I only have a few good movies i like within the last 5 years
