If you have an okay job, okay wife, okay house, okay money situation and okay life - is there anything more? (By 'okay' I mean unspectacular, average, normal - bordering on dull).

If you really want to be happy as you are, then don't look around. The fly in the vinegar jar believes it to be the sweetest place on earth because he has never been anywhere else.
BTW, "Normal", "Average" should be exactly half way between dull and ecstatic. From where I sit that looks pretty good.
I don't know you but one of two things could be happening to you. The seven year itch or middle age crazy. If it is the first talk with some older guys. If it is the latter take momma on second honeymoon. And Good Luck. Oh yeah, I'm 58, and available through my profile. I'm not a Dr. I am experienced in both situations.

I am wondering what other people say about you? What was it about these things that drew you to them in the first place? I am not being rude I honestly think that maybe you could be the one that is average, that is why these things, at one time, appealed to you.

I think you need to make things exciting and fun. Maybe start taking your family on vacations, taking your wife out on dates, and/or maybe start a family hobby.

take up a new hobby or something. sounds like you need something else in your life you are passionate about.
in fact most people feel like you do, sad fact of how are society works.

TRY BEING GRATEFUL!! THINK OF THE GUY THAT DOESN'T HAVE A JOB, AND HAS KIDS ECT.,THINK OF THE DAD THAT'S SERIOUSLY ILL WITH CANCER, THINK OF THE GUY WHO LOST HIS HOME IN KATRINA!
