If they saw a yolk sac that virtually diminishes your chance of ectopic. The embryo shows up a week after the yolk sac. get a third ultrasound a week after the last..good luck!

If the doctor thinks its ectopic then you wont see it in your uterus because it would be in 1 of your falopien tubes. I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks, and they could see the gestational sac with a yolk sac and they could also see the embrio and its heart beat. What I don't understand is why the ultrasound hurt you? What did you mean by hurt? And also, I'm supprised that the doctor hasn't checked to see if your having a miscarage with the amount of blood you say you've lost. I'd find out if it is possible your having a miscarage because although your not having any pain, you shouldn't be having blood like that come out of you whilst your pregnant. Its hard to think of, but I know if it was me, I'd want to rule it out as soon as possible. Good Luck

I have had an ultrasound at 6 weeks with both of my pregnancies and there wasn't anything but the sak and the yolk in both. About 8 weeks I went in, and it was a blob with a heart beat....but never anything at 6 weeks. With the hgc levels, I would think great, but if the doctor is concerned about eptopic, wouldn't they have seen it already? They were concerned about that with my second, and the second ultrasound cleared up the thought and I am 12 weeks now. Just relax and what is done is done, you can only pray and rest now, since there is not way to correct it anyways. Good Luck, I wish you all the best!

It could possibly be too soon, but i had to have an ultrasound at 4 weeks, and they prepared me. They said if you see nothing, that doesn mean that nothing wont be there. But it doesnt mean it will either. Fortunately for me they did see they yolk sack and whatnot. But around 6 or 7, i would think they should be able to see what they need to. After all of those problems though, i am not so sure it sounds to good.
In any regard, they really need to figure out what is going on to keep you healthy!!Are you seeing a high risk OB by any chance? Do they have one in your office? Perhaps they could switch you to him and maybe he can get to the bottom of this ASAP. Good luck, and i hope things work out for you!

I am soo sorry to read this, I know yo umust be going crazy. I believe they can see an ectopic pregnancy on a regular ultrasound, so that does not seem to be the case..that would be one of the things they would check. But, you can always just straight out ask the ultrasonographer if he sees an eptopic. I always ask plainly out, if he does not want to answer, there's a problem usually. I will say though, at 6 weeks babies are kind of hard to see, but if by 7 or 8 weeks they still cannot see anything, you may want to get second opinions. Eptopics can be really harmful to you.

Perhaps, but I'd be very surprised if your doctor left it at that. You need to confirm where this baby is, if anywhere, and why you are having these problems. He or she should be sending you for a complete abdominal scan, not just a pelvic ultrasound. Good luck.
