Is she always heads up or can she flip upside down at will? I feel kicks in my lower abdomen but rarely much higher than midway to my belly button.
She would be laying vertical now - not horizontal right? Or can she just move around in the sac however she wants?
I'll ask next time I go, I just thought someone might know...I can't find anything online about the position of a fetus in the second trimester...

They pretty much do whatever they want! Sometimes they are head up, head down, facing forward, backwards, sideways...whatever! It remains that way for quite some time. As the space starts to become more cramped, they will usually settle into a comfortable position (Head up or down) but they can actually flip over all the way until the end of the last trimester. I am 28 weeks along, and at my last ultrasound, the baby was lying head down, but her feet were all the way up over her head...so the movement I felt was very low in my abdomen. Then last week, she flipped all the way around and is head up... So don't worry....it's normal!
Good Luck!

At 19 weeks, baby is still head up and bum down(most of the time). They don't turn until about 29-33 weeks to the head down position. There is still alot of room to swim though so baby will be moving all over the place. Side to side, lots of wiggling.

At 19 weeks your baby should be able to move up or down or it could be lying with his back on your cervix where the head is one side and butt the other side, but the baby doesn't stay the same position until it is bigger like around the third trimester or the end of third trimester.

It would mean the fetus is moving like you can feel it kick move around when it sneezes or has a hic cup, you can also google each month and track the movement and the devellopement on google.

Baby is moovin' and groovin' in Mama's belly! She's still little enough to have plenty of room to do her morning stretches, try a little kickboxing, or just float peacefully upside down! Good luck to you! Thanks for bringing a new person into the world!
