Erk. One of the main reasons I'm glad I'm done after 2! Those ligament stretches *sucked* so bad!!!
That's what it sounds like - as I recall it was worse with number 2.
But you can always check with your doc - I figure you pay enough for the care, they shouldn't worry if you call them about something that concerns you ;)

Pregnacy on the whole is uncomfortable at best. If you start getting bad cramping I would let the doc know ASAP. If your pain isn't severe then I'd wait until the next appt. to talk to the doc. Remember, your body is going through some crazy changes! Your uterus will be 1000 X the normal size by the end of the pregnancy.

I called my doctor with the same concerns. I have an 18 month old, and I cannot avoid lifting him. I thought that was the cause. But the pain got so bad (this was a few weeks ago, and I am 27 weeks pregnant with #2), that I wasn't able to WALK. I was in a great deal of pain, and the doctor said walking would aggravate it. So I had to take it easy (which was very hard for me to do working full time, caring for my son and myself). The cartilage that holds the pubic bones together was softening and stretching. The pain is gone now (thank goodness!!), but I am still doing my best to take it easy. Good luck to you with your pregnancy!!

I'm 13 weeks pregnant with my first and I feel alot of tightness, stretching (that can be quite painful), and tugging. I am pretty small pre-pregnancy. I don't know if that makes a difference, but I have just guessed all this being round ligament pain. I am not overly concerned...I just mention these things to my doc at my monthly checkups.

I think I was also feeling a lot of tugging at that time, but then it was my second pregnancy within 2 years. You should take it easy and avoid picking up heavy things or pulling on stuff. Your body truly is in a sensitive state even though you don't feel like you are.

It could be that you and the baby are just growing! Now, if you have any spotting or harsh cramps, I would immediately go to the emergency room. Did you have a C-section with your first child? I did and with my second child, I had more growing pains than with the first. good luck!

Go to your doctor!!!! It could be a hurnia, or just they baby. Ya never know unless you see you doc! If you are worried that is enough cause for concern once again GO TO THE DOC. Hope you feel better and the baby comes out healthy!

Have you had an ultrasound or have you heard the heartbeat? I ask only because I had those similar kinds of feelings when I had an ectopic pregnancy....but it was very early in my pregnancy. I would make an appt. with your doc and express your concerns. Better safe than sorry.

I am 19 weeks pregnant with my second and have only felt very minor, short pains near my right hip. Other than that, sometimes I forget I'm pregnant.
Good luck.

For me that was normal...my daughter is 15 months...healthy & happy. Everytime I turned I would feel a sharp pain.
