Does your social life consist of eating dinner, watching 3 hours
of TV, having 30 minutes of obligatory sex with your mate, and going to sleep?
Doesn't anyone have a life or do anything anymore?

I say obligatory sex, cause what can you call doing something for the 2000th time with the same body, the same way, night after night?
It's more an obligation...like part of the vows, do do it even when you would rather
read a book or watch Leno..............
anyone married over 7 years knows full well what I speak of..........

sticky, I know the weary feeling..it never ends, as we sacrifice essentially our lives
either prepping for our career, or building
our career.....personally, I'm thinking of leaving my job(yes, the one that pays me 20/hour to surf on yahoo) to bartend in
Key West for the winter....why not? even if
I break even I'm ahead......I say why not occasionally get crazy and drop everything,
plans and all......you can never do that on that never ending career path......

and planning other things"

brand, you are one of a zillion people who are thinking of getting back to work thoughts while "rewarding" yourself for
being a serf to the office/job.
We are slaves who reward ourselves with
babbles that can never replace the time
we lost and the youth that ebbed away
while working......I would hate to wake up
at 47 with a bank account of a million
and 25 years of lost time at the office.

"Oh man, If only I spent more hours at the office"

Yeah my life is pretty close to that. Except I work 7 days a week. I dont have a mate and dont have time to find one. I am making good money but I dont have time to spend it. I recently rewarded myself with a brand new mercedes and the whole time I was buying it I was wondering when I could get back to work so that I know that stuff is being taken care of. Am I crazy?

I work 3rd shift too but lead a ready stressful day. I work from 10.30pm to 8am, rush home and takeover child care from my wife who rushes to work at 9am. I stay awake with my two kids till 3pm when my wife gets home. Then I drop dead on the bed till 8.30pm whereby I wake up, rush through dinner, bath and it's back to work.

Fortunately I work a 5 day week, so the first off day is set aside for catching up on sleep and the second off day for time with the family and sex (not obligatory, married for 11 years but still enjoy great sex with my wife).

Pretty much the same except without the partner. Thank God! I don't know how I would fit that in! I have university and full time employment so finances and time are two thing that are scarce for me. If I want to go out I have to sacrifice the sleep and that often ends up being more hassle than it is worth.

sometimes that happens cuz this world is demanding. Husband goes out to sing on weekends and even then hes so tired but at least can sleep on weekends...my social life includes relatives on weekends..

life is not repetitive we make it repetitive
remember that every day is a new day and everythin is different
from what it was but we pretend that today is like yesterday
I dunno why
but it seems that we like this kind of view toward life
