I don't! In light of all the things that are going on in society how were they to know that she wasn't serious. It is a federal offense to threaten the president. I do however think that it was wrong of them to interrogated her without an adult present.

No, I don't think it's crazy at all. Kids planned and executed the Columbine masacre, and when the secret service first tracked her down, there was no telling if she was really a harmless teenager, or if she was really a terrorist pretending to be a harmless teenager.

It is their job to protect our leaders, and all threats have to be taken seriously.

Not only crazy, but utterly out of line. Like most federal government agencies, it's easier to go after the little guy instead of concentrating on the really serious threats to our country.
The laughable, Nazi-inspired Department of Homeland Security will continue to chase after insignificant 'terrorists' whom they can bully and intimidate. But will they take a serious look into where Osama binLaden might be hiding (try his family's huge compound outside of Orlando, Florida). -RKO-

Unfortunately, ever since the Sedition act back in the 1700s, shortly after the constitution was written, talking about killing the president has been illegal. I personally don't think its completely right, but thats the way it is...

Sure it's crazy. Imagine if the killers at Columbine had been investigated. They were 'just' teenagers. WHAT COULD THEY POSSIBLY DO?

No, she broke the law by doing it. You cant make threats against the President, you can call him all sorts of names and make fun of him, but once you threaten harm, it's illegal ...
