Ialways believe in giving three chances to your partner. If he serious about his drinking, tell him to enroll in a AA meeting so he can prove to her that he going to stop his drinking. If he prove to her, he gets his chance back with her. She really have to set down her rules straight like if your not going to stop drinking, you lose me. if you prove to me you stop I'm yours and you have to build trust in your heart for me.

Unless he goes to some kind of rehab or AA, I wouldn't believe his "never drink again" line. He will drink again, he will be just as mean if not more, and he will break up with her over any little thing to make himself look better. "Sure I'm a drunk, but she's a hoe." Your friend deserves better than that.

Hmm. Are they even old enough to drink? It sounds like some high school drama here. Truthfully though, being that he acknowledged that his drinking is an issue and he's willing to change, why not? .. wait, has he made a promise like this before?

Anyway, I say "sure". If it's a mistake, I'm sure your friend will learn from it and move on... sounds like she just might be young enough to have the luxury of time on her side...

It depends on how deep this girls feelings for this guy are. This guy obviously will not easily give up drinking. Its going to take time. But I think he does really care.Since we don't know this girl you being her friend will be able to help her more.Explain to your friend about the chances and leave the decision to her.Good Luck

Hmm thats is so high school. She needs to move on to better and bigger things in her life. There is so much out there to be seen and she can't be held back with an immature guy who doesn't know what he wants to do with his life. Good luck.

I think your friend should be careful of this guy. Give him another chance but make it totally clear that she isnt going to be messed about.

sorry.. but he is never going to change... it will just get worse. your friend needs to get out now before she gets closer to him... it will be tough but she'll be OK.. just be there for her
