I thnk that was the name. It was kids game show on Saturday morning, and it was like a game board that you walked on, turned these big dice, and moved forward. Then had to do whatever you landed on. I've asked a lot of people, but no one remembers. Was I dreaming it?

No, you weren't dreaming it but you do have your facts backward. There was a daytime series on CBS called Video Village hosted by Jack Narz. The host was called the mayor. Two players strolled down a studio sized gameboard according to the dictates of a die in a chuck-a-luck cage spun by a partner. The first to land by exact count on either of the two finish spaces won the right to play another opponent. Both players won all cash and prizes accumulated. Narz would eventually leave the series and Monty Hall would take over. Red Rowe hosted a nighttime version. Ken Williams would be the town crier (announcer) for all versions.

The Video Village home game makes frequent appearances on EBay. It is a virtual duplicate of the series.

There was a Saturday morning version for children called Video Village Junior. A few years after Video Village was canceled, the idea would resurface as carnival-themed Shenanigans. Stubby Kaye hosted with Kenny Williams as Kenny the Cop.
