I volunteered to go out with the infantry as their medic, basically because i couldn't stand the drama of the women in my unit. They were always having sex with someone, and trying to get pregnant so they could go home. That is one problem. Another is the fact that a lot of them had their weapons taken away because they wanted to kill themselves. Bottom line, when i was in Iraq and in combat. I was shot in the back by an ak-47, and it was 2 guys who killed the person who shot me and drug me to safety. We had females with us on that convoy. They stayed in their vehicle and refused to help us rescue our wounded soldiers. yes, i was shot in doing so, but the 3 wounded survived as well. That is why I believe that women in combat probably won't happen. I'm not saying all women are that way, a lot will stand up and do what is right, but most of the ones i know didn't.

Hi,,, we live in a society that the man takes care of the woman,, i would not like to have been in a combat situation with women involved.. Simply because i would be thinking about them , instead of the enemy thinking about killing all of us...
This was proven a year or so ago when that Private Simpson,, ?? was captured and then our troops rescued her...
THey had shot her,, raped her,, and what ever,, before she was rescued....
No offense against you women in combat now, or have been..
Been there, done that..

I'd hate to be going up against a woman stuck in the desert, stinky, dirty and hot... with her period AND has a gun...
and I would hate to BE a woman with a gun and her period out in the desert, stinky and dirty and hot.
Both things are period and gun related... The two should NEVER meet!
And for the guy below... Do you really believe that they don't sexually abuse men who are POW in the military? They do it to both sexes because they use humiliation as tactics to gain information and just to torture in general and make an example of. It happens to men too! Don't be so shortsighted...

besides death...most other countries have armies of all men. if a woman is captured they are not only going to torturee a female but also sexually abuse her.

they could become bad tempered at the time of their periods and shoot the anyone in battle including there own regiment so beware
