The NBA play seven months of regular season ball before post season begins. And for the poster who said Major League Baseball plays 182 games then the playoffs, that is incorrect. It is 162 games then the post season begins.

Game wise its baseball. Calendar time would be the NHL and nba, 8 months each. MLB is only 7 months, 6 if the World Series ends before November.

Never heard of a place in the northern hemisphere with ice in June south of the arctic circle. Hockey never ends.They play 14 months a year to decide which four teams wont make the playoffs.

I think NASCAR is the longest season sport.

But I might think Baseball or Basketball is long too.

Nascar never ends. I know, i don;t think it is a sport either, but it is classified as one. As Soon as the points winner is crowned, there is another race a week later.
