I love it. Before I was pregnant, I played the piano, keyboard and descant, treble and base recorders, and had just got a flute. I couldn't play the recorders and flute when I was pregnant, because I kept passing out from breathing too much, and I didn't have access to a piano. I lost the adaptor for my keyboard aswell, so I couldn't play that.
Since then, I haven't really had the motivation or time to play anything, but I will start again soon, I found my adapter the other day! I want my daughter to learn to play instruments, and what better way to inspire her than to see mommy having fun with music?
My partner wants to learn the guitar too.

It depends how far you want to go. Some people like yourself go through life enjoying music for many years and some very talented get fairly far. But if you want to be the best, which is really not important to everyone, you will hit a wall someday and will not be able to advance. People around will be talking terms you will not understand and you will be left behind. Think of other disciplines. How about someone who loves to make houses but doesn't want to learn engineering. How about someone who loves to farm but doesn't want to get a tractor. Every discipline is the same. Theory is another tool to get you farther. It really sounds like you haven't found the right teachers because much of the great music has stuff in it that you don't know about and never will without a good understanding of theory. You sound as if you are a good talent and could go far but you may not want to - and that is alright. But - find the right teacher and with your talent, you will be amazed at what you have missed. And by the way, you would get farther as a performer but you will be really hindered as a composer without thorough training in theory. It is your choice. (I wish you were my student - I could make you love theory.)

I love music, more that I can really say :) I played flute for eight years through school, and I can pluck a few notes out on the bass and guitar, and I can get a few songs going on the piano. Music is pretty important to me :)

I absolutely love music! I love to sing and play piano. I also play clarinet, but I haven't practiced in a year. Kinda pathetic, huh? But I'm still doing choir and playing piano!

I love to listen to music and with my iPod it is so convenient to listen anywhere. But I could not play an instrument to save my life.
