Towards the start of SoCom 3, my team is asked to blow up a bridge. How do i do it?

Do I have to use the laser designator and if i do, where do I use it?

first of all the mission is called: Escalation in North Africa (for those who dont know).

First: kill all the terrorist you see but be careful of the tank becuase it will fire at you.

Second: destory the tank with the laser designator(equip it and press R1 when pointed at the tank and wait for the countdown clock to expire and a plane will come in and drop a bomb on the tank.

Third: run up to the middle of the bridge and when you see a plant satchel icon at the bottom of the screen do so and run like hell back the way you came.

and now the bridge should be destroyed
