Some historical evidence for things like Solomon's Temple, but absolutely nothing regarding the fairy tales like Noah, the Garden of Eden, Moses, or any of the other superstitious rubbish.

That is an interesting question. One area of support is in Mesopotamia, where there is up to 10 feet of a marine-clay sediments dated to about 4000 to 5000 B.C. and upon which the ruins of Ur (3000 B.C.) are built. This is a probable source of evidence for the Biblical Flood. The ruins of Babylon are underlain by 18 inches of these sediments, which pinch out a hundred miles to the northwest. This event would have likely wiped out the entire known world at the time, or would have flooded the Earth as it was known back then. Isaac Asimov proposed a massive meteorite could have struck the Persian Gulf, creating the source for the sediments and water. As proof he stated that the ark didn't go downstream to the Persian Gulf, but upstream to Mount Ararat in Turkey.

As a professional geologist who has worked on every continent except the Antarctic, I can tell you that there is no geological evidence to support a world-wide flood.
Also, the geological time-scale ( a 4,500,000 year old Earth )does not correspond to the 6,000 year old Earth advocated by many religions.

plenty, one example is Sodom!..the remnants have been found near the dead sea lying on a fault line which, during an earthquake about 4,600 years ago, large amounts of native bitumen and tar was hurled into the air, with its adherant methane gas, this ignited over about eight square kilometres and descended on Sodom!..What wasnt flattened in the earthquake, was burned by the sulphurous tars and other flammables, upholding the bible story of Sodom being destroyed by burning sulphur!..There are plenty of others as well if you research them, youl find 'em!..Go to it!
