Legal- if you would make gun ownership totally illegal, then only criminals would own guns. Making more laws only hurts law-abiding citizens and benefits criminals. If you were to legalize marijuana, for example, how many criminals would be out of a job? All of them unless they started paying taxes...I could probably list a dozen items in this category...

Legal it is protected by the second amendment. I however believe there is no reason why it can't be regulated. I don't believe in the absolute right to gun ownership. people with bazooka's is a bad idea. Guns like everything else we own should be regulated to protect the public from it's unlawful uses. such protections would be mandatory registration of the weapon so you can track the weapon easily from owner to owner that isn't the case right now. There should be no automatics sold to the public there is no valid reason to have one other than ego. A cap on magazine capacity would be good, there is no reason for 10+ round magazines not even the target practice excuse. All hunting laws in the country mandate a 7 rounds or less rule depending on which state your in. Legal guns yes but regulated in a serious way. Hunting and defense of the home are valid reasons to own a gun.

Legal because if it was illegal the citizens would not be able to protect themselves, the only people that would have guns is criminals they already do not follow the law they will be the only ones with guns and it would make their job of reaking havoc much easier.

Canada has 7 million guns in their country of 10 million homes. They have an average of 68 deaths a year due to guns. They don't lock their doors, and we do.

In order to prevent violence, we should get rid of the control of mass media, and then we wouldn't have 11,000 deaths a year from guns.

Legal, because I won't have some druggie nut crack comming into my house and shooting up my family. If it ever becomes illegal, than I will have a nice illegal gun in my house, better that, then Mexicans!

Legal, as long as the police and military are allowed to have guns, so should we. How else are we going to defend ourselves against martial law? You know it's coming!

The first thing a dictatorship does to crush freedom is to disarm the populace. I don't own a gun, but I sure like the idea that I can if I want.

Legal, but with responsibility. This means volunteering to register your fire arm with local law enforcement, knowing when to use the weapon and when just to pistol whip the perp into a comma. only shoot to protect life, not property. never enjoy shooting a person because this makes you twisted and evil. KEEP YOUR GUN AWAY FROM CHILDREN, vigilance.
