What would be better: To feed a few hungry people or to have tinted windows? To clothe those that can't afford clothing or to have tinted windows? To give people in Africa fresh drinking water or have tinted windows?

When you die, what would you rather have people say of you: She gave to the poor, the hungry, the hurting or she spent a ton of money on a car that doesn't mean anything to anyone right now?

Depends how much extra money you have laying around... if the $100 - $200 for tinting the windows is not a big deal to you then it's worth it... but if that's going to leave you broke for a couple weeks you should probably hold off. I'm guessing that since you bought a Scion you probably don't have tons of money - but since it's a new car you should have no problem with dropping a hundred bucks on top of the $15k already spent on the car.

I must say that the tC is the only Scion worth looking at... the xB is probably the most hidious car on the face of the planet (tied with the Honda Element)... and the xA is running close behind...

Uhhhh....I think that, given the choice between feeding someone in Africa or tinting my windows, I would choose to have tinted windows.

Cars look a lot better with tinted windows, especially if the car is silver or black.

If you go somewhere where they use good tinting film it will actually help if the window is broken by working in much the same way your windshield does, and keeping you from getting covered in glass. I am not saying that it is a miracle product, but it is some pretty strong stuff.

It can help you avoid theft, since it makes it more difficult to see into the vehicle and identify anything of value that might be inside.

Depends - Do you have leather seats? Tinted windows will prevent the leather from drying out. It's also safer if know one can see in your car.

depends on a couple of things: what part of the country are you in and do you plan on making out in the car alot...

Down south, tinted windows help keep the car cooler so it is a good investment... not as necessary up North...
If you make out alot, the extra bit of privacy they give you are worth the cost and more...

I think tint, as long as it isn't too dark, is a good idea. It helps to keep UV rays out of your car (which damages your interior) and it helps to keep the car cooler on hot days.

...and the awesomeness factor is always there too :)

it is a good idea to have your window tinted.it reflect heat away from your vehicle. dashboard and leather seat expose to prolong heat will cause the dashboard and leather seats to cracked and fade.plastic parts such as cd,door panel, and cluster will warp.your personal make-up or lotion to melt.electronic screen to melt or burn. DO NOT TINT YOUR FRONT DRIVER AND PASSEBGER WINDOW DARK,POLICE GET UPSET BECAUSE HE OR SHE CANNOT SEE YOU. YOU WILL GET A CITATION.

Check the laws in your town first...they may only allow certain levels of tint. They may not bust you for it right away but if you get stopped for anything they may add that to your ticket.
