Oh, I'm really very sorry. That is so painful! I would put the tapes away for now. If he just died, it's too painful for you to listen. Keep them in a safe place until you feel better (in a year or two) and then you can listen again, if you like. Try to remember all the good things you had together and try to forget the pain and the dying part. As a memorial to your friend, volunteer with cancer patients, or raise money for cancer in some way like Alex's Lemonade stands or something. Then you will be doing something positive with your grief. When you see how many people you are helping, you will feel better and your will be giving your friend in Heaven a wonderful memorial. Crying is part of the grieving process; don't try to hide your emotions from yourself. The tears will subside in good time, and don't worry about forgetting your friend, because that will never happen.

baby girl i lost my mother early to cancer my grandfather and two of my friends its been a couple of years and even after all this time every once in a while there will be curtain things that will make me cry .crying is a part of life yeah it sucks but we can learn to live with it it will always hurt but you will learn to ease it with time crying is a gift that god gave us to express ourselves when something really hurt physically or emotionally .don't be scared to use it .it helps .

time heals..but it never goes away. remember your friend and the good times you had.its been 5 yr. since my granny died. i still miss her everyday but now i am able to think of her without crying and i even laugh at things she said and did.sorry about your loss.

first off, you will always remember him. you'll have a special little place in your heart for him. secondly, healing takes time. i've had friends and relatives pass on, and the only thing that makes it better is time. :-)

Theres n0thing you can do now but to move on. im sure he d0nt want seeing you like that.he'll be happy if everytime you remember him youll just smile and not to be so emotional. I know hes jus up there,watching and guiding you.
