When i am sat or laid down there is no pain, i dont think it is a prolapse because nothing is "bulging" i am not incontinent or anything. I wonder if other ladies had ever had such symptoms. I thought i may of strained the muscles there in some way but after 4 children i didnt think i had muscles there anymore!!!

It sounds like a prolapse. A prolapse is graded according to it's severity, yours may just not be severe enough to bulge yet, but if you leave it untreated, it will probably get worse over time.

Go to you doctor, if it's a mild prolapse, it may be helped with pelvic floor muscle exercises. You should go for assessment to see how they're functioning, after four children, the muscles may start running into trouble, particularly if you're peri-menopausal. You can get biofeedback units to tell you how efficiently they're working and how well you're exercising.

If the prolapse is too severe for just exercises, they may be able to support the womb with a ring, or if it's too severe for that, surgical repair will help tighten supporting ligaments and tissues.

In the meantime, avoid long periods of standing, start pelvic floor muscles yourself, prevent constipation (makes the prolapse worse), and get along to your doctor asap.

Good luck, and do get it seen to.

You should see an OB/Midwife to check you out. Pain in the cervix this early in your pregnancy is not a good thing. Try and stay off your feet as much as possible untill you know for sure that everything is ok.

could be a start of a bladder infection. Try some cream of tarter stirred in a glass of water. Make sure the water is cold & drink fast. It won't hurt you and tastes kinda sparkley. It will get rid of the pressure.

Could well be a small prolapse which would not necessarily bulge noticibly. See a doc for expert advice!

maybe its a twisted bladder - or maybe you actually have a bladder infection.

it could be a pollop (sp) on your womb, it could be something worse - go get it checked out - you know yourself when you don't feel right and your doctor will help you
