Its got to be something big because all the hotels are booked out and I have never seen this before in Cape Town. I've booked a hotel out in the suburbs as everything is full (not complaining its very nice!). If anyone knows whats going on let me know I don't want to miss out on anything!

It may have to do with the fact that it the start of "season". Tourists normally abound at this time of the year and that could explain the booked out hotels. Clubbing wise the international clubbing community has viewed Cape Town as a mini-Ibiza and Global Underground, once home to DJ's like Sasha and John Digweed are hosting a party here with James Lavelle from UNKLE.

Another British clubbing organisation called Love Cape Town is also bringing top international DJ's like AME to perform in Cape Town this summer.

There might be something going on at the Cape Town Convention Centre - if there's a massive exhibition, a lot of central hotels could be booked out with exhibitors and visitors.

Its summer. All the Valies are down. Oops sorry, did I just say that?
No seriously now, it's the same in Durbs, halfway through November to halfway through February it will be almost impossible to find a room anywhere.
Also what Jacki said about the Convention center, check it out.
